Fees
Next year's fees are not published yet.
The finance office publishes them here as soon as they are set. Until then, the office can tell you what to expect.
The whole cost
What the fee covers.
And what is charged separately, so that nothing comes as a surprise later.
Included
No additional charge
Teaching, facilities, coaching
The core programme and the seven SANDBOX programmes, on the timetable.
Meals, kindergarten only
Covered by the kindergarten fee. From Grade 1, charged separately.
National curriculum textbooks
Free, for every student. IB textbooks are separate.
Entry assessment
It tells us where a child starts. It does not decide whether they may come.
One development programme a term
Places go in order of registration. Choose early.
Not included
Charged separately
Meals, Grades 1 to 12
Everyone eats at school, and outside food is not permitted, so this is compulsory. A separate catering agreement.
[Cost]
School bus
Optional. A separate agreement.
[Fee]
Uniform
A polo shirt is enough for everyday wear. The PE kit must be the school’s own. Two pairs of indoor shoes: one for the building, one for the gym. Nothing else is required.
[Prices]
IB textbooks and workbooks
Expensive to buy, so we rent every title, cheaply. Nobody has to buy them.
[Rental and purchase prices]
Online tools and subscriptions
Paid by families, except where the school provides them.
[List and typical yearly total]
IB and external examinations
Charged by the examination board, not by us.
[Approximate figure]
A personal device
From Grade 1. An iPad through Grade 5, a laptop from Grade 6.
[Guide price and minimum specification]
Optional extras
Holiday courses. External competitions. Clubs beyond the timetable. Tutoring. Graduation.
A realistic budget: the annual fee, plus meals from Grade 1. Add the bus if you use it. Uniform once. Textbook rental and examination entry in the Diploma years.
Payment
Paid in three parts.
10%
Commitment fee
Paid on acceptance, and it holds the place. It is not refundable, in any circumstance. See below for why.
40%
On signing the contract
[Returning families sign before 30 June]
50%
Before the year begins
Due in full before the first day of term.
Worked example
A worked example appears here once this year’s fees are published.
Sibling discount
For families with more than one child here.
[Rate and terms: which child it applies to, and how much]
If circumstances change
If your child leaves.
All of it is in the contract. It is here too, in plain language. Nobody should meet these terms for the first time on the day they need them.
The commitment fee
Not refunded
Whenever you tell us. Whatever the reason.
Not a penalty. When you pay it, we stop offering that place to anyone else. A deposit you could reclaim at any time would hold nothing.
Before week 20
Part of the year comes back
You pay for the terms taken, plus the whole term in progress. The rest is returned.
Whether or not your child attended. If you have paid less than that, the balance is due.
After week 20
No refund
Past the twentieth week, tuition is not returned.
Refunds are calculated on the standard fee, not on a fee reduced by financial assistance.
The school can also end the agreement without refund: unpaid fees, exclusion, or serious breaches of the codes of conduct, such as bullying, theft, or ten per cent unexplained absence in a term. All grounds are set out in the contract and the published policies.
Financial assistance
Help is available, within a yearly budget.
We would rather you know how it works before you apply.
Returning families
[Apply before 15 March]
Assessed on the student’s progress and the family’s circumstances.
New families
Assessed once admission is complete, on the same basis.
The limit
The pool is set by the annual budget. Once it is committed, no more can be awarded that year, so it helps to apply early.
Who to ask
[Name, role, direct email, phone, hours]
Come and see the school.
Visit on an ordinary day, then read how admission works.
